The wood is 4" square and 1/4" thick cherry, cut by hand on a scroll saw. They're finished with 3 coats of a water-based polyurethane for water resistance, and backed with 1/8" thick cork painted to highlight the design - these deskorations can double as coasters! The wood grain of all hardwoods is quite variable, so every deskoration is unique.
