The Dragon Ball media franchise started off as a manga series in 1984, and continued to grow in popularity as it morphed into anime and videogame worlds. Here is anti-hero Beerus.
The wood is 4" square and 1/4" thick hard maple, cut by hand on a scroll saw. They are finished with 3 coats of a water-based polyurethane for water resistance, and backed with 1/8" thick cork painted to highlight the design - these deskorations can double as coasters! All hardwood grains vary a lot from board to board, so each deskoration is unique!
Be sure to order a stand to show your Dragonball pride on your desk or mantel - you can find the stands here: https://centuryartisans.com/products/deskoration-stands
NOTE: I had the distinct pleasure of meeting the U.S. voice of Beerus, Jason Douglas, at Dallas Comic Show while I was wearing my Borderlands2 shirt (he also voices Krieg!)...major fan-girl moment! :^D
