"Once thought lost to the mists of time, fearsome Dragons now soar the skies of Elsweyr, leaving scorched ruin in their wake." This suncatcher is of the Elsweyr symbol, a dragon the Khajiit thought they were free from years ago! Hang him in a sunny window and watch the crystals catch the light.
The wood is 1/4" thick butternut wood, cut by hand on a scroll saw. He's about 4" at the widest part and just under 5" long. Each Dragon is finished with 2-3 coats of a polyurethane/varnish blend to protect the wood - it's a water-resistant finish but I do NOT recommend hanging this outside in case a strong wind blows your Dragon into something that could break the more delicate bits. You will find that butternut is an extremely lightweight wood, with beautiful grain patterns.
I use an elastic beading string for the small crystal beads and the larger crystal at the bottom.
A small metal hook is included for your convenience.
