"That's my Daddy!", were the first words out of Sara Karloff's mouth when she saw our Frankenstein deskoration (see last photo). It is a tribute to Boris Karloff, the man who first played Frankenstein's monster in 1931, and his (beautiful?) Bride is played by Elsa Lancaster in the 1935 movie.
The wood is 4" square and 1/4" thick walnut, cut by hand on a scroll saw. It's finished with 3 coats of a water-based polyurethane for water resistance, and backed with 1/8" thick cork painted to highlight the design - these deskorations can double as coasters! The grain of these hardwoods varies a lot from board to board, so every deskoration is unique.
Be sure to order a deskoration stand to display your new purchase on your desk or mantel - you can find the stands here: https://centuryartisans.com/products/deskoration-stands
