RWBY is an American anime-style series, and is all about Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Ruby's older sister Yang and their Huntress-in-training education at Beacon Academy in the kingdom of Vale, teaching them how to help protect their world against the creatures of Grimm!
The wood is 7.5" x 9" and 1/2" thick mahogany, cut by hand on a scroll saw. The 5th photo shows the work in progress. The piece is carefully sanded and finished with 3 coats of a water-based polyurethane to protect the wood, then backed with stiffened felt in the Huntress' signature colors.
